About
Festival MADA (Música Alimento Da Alma) has been held in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, since 1998, making it one of Brazil's longest-running independent music festivals. It now takes place at Arena das Dunas, the stadium built for the 2014 World Cup, and has featured more than five hundred bands across its editions. Its lineup blends rap, reggae, cumbia, baile funk and electronic music in an experimental, festive spirit recognized as intangible cultural heritage of the state.
