Mandorlo in Fiore - Almod Blossom Festival

Mandorlo in Fiore, or Sagra del Mandorlo in Fiore, is held every March in Agrigento, Sicily, against the striking backdrop of the UNESCO-listed Valley of the Temples. Running since 1934, this major international folklore festival brings together traditional dance and music groups from around the world for a colourful parade through the city. Traditional costumes, folk music and dance accompany the blossoming of the almond trees, a symbol of spring's return.
