ManiFiesta, Fête de la Solidarité

Organised by the magazine Solidaire and the Médecine pour le Peuple health centres, this politically engaged festival gathers a broad crowd each September around solidarity, unity and working-class diversity. Held in Bredene from 2010 to 2019 and since then in Ostend on the Belgian coast, it combines concerts by socially engaged artists, international guests, debates, film screenings and grassroots stalls. Now one of Belgium's largest popular and progressive gatherings, it draws tens of thousands of visitors over two days.
