March Music Days

March Music Days has taken place every March in Ruse, Bulgaria, since 1961, making it one of the country's oldest classical music festivals. Organised by the municipality, it presents orchestral, chamber, opera, early music and jazz performances, with both Bulgarian and foreign ensembles. In 1965 it hosted the Bulgarian premiere of Shostakovich's opera Katerina Ismailova, with the composer present.
