About
Melt ran from 1997 to 2024 at Ferropolis, a striking open-air museum of giant mining excavators set on a peninsula in Lake Gremminer near Gräfenhainichen in Saxony-Anhalt. Held every mid-July, it brought together electronic music and rock for around 20,000 attendees, who could swim in the lake between sets. Regarded as one of Germany's leading electronic-music gatherings, it came to an end in 2024 after 27 years.
