About
Launched in 2016 in Sheffield, this nine-day June festival celebrates sanctuary, cultural identity and migration, and has grown into the UK's largest Refugee Week event. Its programme, offering free tickets to those who need them, spotlights artists from displaced and asylum-seeking communities through concerts, performances, exhibitions and talks, with international headliners drawn from dozens of countries. The festival spreads across several venues in the city, including in recent years a free outdoor stage at Kelham Island Museum, blending music, dance, world food and workshops.
