Overview
About
MOGA Festival is an electronic music event held in Essaouira, Morocco, founded in 2016 and staged around the Sofitel Mogador on the city's coastline. It blends house and techno with Gnawa rhythms, pairing international electronic artists with Moroccan Gnawa malems (masters) in joint sets, alongside art and wellness programming. The festival stands out for this deliberate fusion of underground club music with Morocco's spiritual Gnawa heritage, set against the Atlantic ramparts of Essaouira.
