About

Founded in 1958, the Monterey Jazz Festival takes place every September at the Monterey County Fairgrounds in California, spread across several stages including the Jimmy Lyons Stage. It ranks among the longest-running jazz festivals still active today and brings together established names in the genre alongside emerging musicians. The event is paired with a year-round education program for students.
