Overview
About
Mountain Sounds was a boutique Australian music, art and culture festival held at Mount Penang Parklands in Kariong, on the Central Coast of New South Wales. Launched in 2014, it took place on a natural site surrounded by eucalyptus and subtropical gardens that gave the festival a distinctive acoustic and atmosphere. It emphasized environmental sustainability, banning plastic straws and bottles, and hosted acts such as Tame Impala, Flume and Gang of Youths before its cancellation in 2019 amid new festival regulations in New South Wales.
