MusiKenSaire takes place in late August in the small harbour of Barfleur, on the eastern coast of the Cotentin peninsula in Normandy. Run by an association that also organises year round concerts under the name Les Escales, the festival offers an eclectic lineup of contemporary music featuring emerging artists. Entry is free and the event is run on a small scale, relying on volunteers.
