Musikfesttage an der Oder

The Musikfesttage an der Oder take place every November on both banks of the Oder, alternating between the Kleist Forum in Frankfurt (Oder) and the SMOK hall in Słubice, Poland. Running since 1966 (originally as the Frankfurter Festtage der Musik), the festival expanded eastward in the 1990s in partnership with the Zielona Góra Philharmonic. It brings together Polish and German orchestras and ensembles, including the Poznan Philharmonic, for a program spanning symphonic and chamber music, standing as a symbol of German-Polish cultural cooperation in the border region.
