About
The National Folk Festival is held every Easter at Exhibition Park in Canberra, its permanent home since the early 1990s after years of moving between host cities. Founded in Melbourne in 1967, it now brings together more than 200 artists across roughly twenty genres, from traditional folk music to world music, blues, country and acoustic roots. Beyond music, the festival also embraces dance, poetry, circus and other performing arts.
