Neuburger Kammeroper

The Neuburger Kammeroper was an opera festival held from 1969 to 2025 in the town theatre of Neuburg an der Donau in Bavaria, a Biedermeier era playhouse fitted into a former ducal tithe barn. Founded by singer and director Horst Vladar together with his brother Heinrich Wladarsch and Anton Sprenzel, it set out to revive rarely performed Baroque operas seldom staged anywhere else in the world. After more than half a century, the festival gave its final performances in 2025.
