Newtown Festival

The Newtown Festival is held every March in the Newtown neighbourhood of Wellington and bills itself as the country's biggest free music festival and street fair. Packed into a single day, it spreads across roughly sixteen outdoor stages hosting more than a thousand performers, alongside hundreds of street stalls. Free and family-oriented, it draws tens of thousands of visitors celebrating the neighbourhood's cultural diversity.
