About
Founded in 1948 with concerts by Louis Armstrong and Django Reinhardt, the Nice Jazz Festival is among the oldest jazz festivals in the world. For decades it was held at the Arènes de Cimiez under the name Grande Parade du Jazz, and it now takes place at the Théâtre de verdure in the Jardin Albert Ier, near Place Masséna.
