Northwest Mahler Festival

Founded in 1995 by three Seattle musicians, this festival brings amateur and student orchestras to Shoreline, Washington, to perform major Romantic symphonic works, particularly by Mahler, Strauss and Bruckner. It offers free open reading sessions in June followed by public concerts in August, led by recognized conductors, focusing on scores rarely accessible to smaller local orchestras.
