Notodden Blues Festival

Founded in 1988 in Notodden, in Telemark county, this festival has become one of the largest blues events in Northern Europe. In 2010 it was named the world's best blues festival and received the Keeping The Blues Alive Award from the American Blues Foundation. Performances take place across several venues in town, with strong involvement from local volunteers.
