About
O Começo do Fim do Mundo was a landmark punk festival held at SESC Pompéia in São Paulo on November 27 and 28, 1982, during Brazil's military dictatorship. Bringing together around twenty bands in front of roughly 3,000 people, it aimed to unite the capital's various punk factions with those from the ABC region amid internal tensions. Marked by a police intervention on its second day, the event is remembered as one of the founding moments of Brazilian punk, later documented on a live vinyl recording.
