Olinda Jazz

Olinda Jazz takes place at the Mercado da Ribeira, in the historic center of Olinda, in the Brazilian state of Pernambuco. Founded around an anthropophagic concept by producer Coraly Pedroso and musician Toinho Alves of the group Quinteto Violado, it brings together Brazilian and international jazz and related acts over roughly a week. The festival is built around cross cultural encounters between different musical traditions.
