Founded in 1969 and held as an open-air event since 1971, Openair Bischofszell has taken place on the Heuberg hill near Schweizersholz, in the Thurgau countryside, since 1991. Claimed as Switzerland's oldest open-air festival, it is run on a non-commercial, association basis and offers on-site camping.
