Overview
About
The Plinn du Danouët festival takes place in Bourbriac, in the Côtes-d'Armor, around the Notre-Dame du Danouët chapel. Held since 1976 for a week around August 15, it brings together competitions for traditional Breton musicians and dancers, fest-noz and fest-deiz gatherings, and sung vigils centered on the plinn, a dance specific to the Kreiz-Breizh region. It stands as a major meeting point for lovers of Breton traditional music and culture, also known for a huge communal meal shared by thousands of attendees.
