Porchfest

Founded in 2007 in the Fall Creek and Northside neighborhoods of Ithaca, Porchfest originated a format later adopted by many other American cities: musicians perform on residents' porches and lawns, turning the neighborhood into a string of small stages. Admission is free and no genre is imposed, with dozens of local bands taking part each year.
