Porchfest

Ottawa Porchfest is a free, community-driven music festival where local musicians perform on porches, patios and shopfronts throughout a neighborhood. Inspired by the porchfest movement that began in Ithaca, New York, it stages dozens of simultaneous sets that audiences discover by wandering from street to street. Several neighborhood editions run around Ottawa, including in Hintonburg, Wellington West and Osgoode, each showcasing a mix of musical genres in a neighborly, grassroots atmosphere.
