Premieres of the Season

Premieres of the Season is an international contemporary music festival founded in 1988 by Ukraine's Ministry of Culture and the Kyiv Union of Composers, under the direction of composer Ihor Shcherbakov. Held in Kyiv every spring since 1989, it mainly presents world premieres of symphonic, choral, opera and chamber works by Ukrainian composers, performed by Ukrainian and foreign ensembles and soloists. The program also includes conferences, masterclasses and meetings with the artists.
