Organised by British station BBC Radio 1 since the late 1990s, this festival moves to a different UK host city each year and draws over 100,000 fans across several stages. The lineup leans firmly pop and mainstream, mixing international headliners, breakout acts and DJ sets with a strong dance and electronic presence. Tickets are mostly allocated through a free or near-free ballot, prioritising residents of the host city, which makes it a hugely sought-after event.
