Rainforest World Music Festival

The Rainforest World Music Festival has been held since 1998 at the Sarawak Cultural Village, a living museum on the Santubong Peninsula at the foot of Mount Santubong, about 35km from Kuching. Over three days it combines daytime music workshops in Iban and Bidayuh longhouses, craft displays and evening main-stage concerts bringing together artists from around the world around traditional music and its contemporary fusions. Organised by the Sarawak Tourism Board, it has grown into one of Southeast Asia's leading world music gatherings.
