Reggae On The River

This reggae festival takes place near Garberville in Northern California, on the banks of the Eel River. Founded in 1984 by the Mateel Community Center to help rebuild its community hall, it is regarded as the longest running reggae festival in the United States. The lineup centers on roots reggae, dub and dancehall, with on-site camping and a community atmosphere rooted in Jamaican sound system culture.
