Founded in 1998 by producer Chuck Wentworth, the Rhythm & Roots Festival is held every Labor Day weekend on festival grounds in Charlestown, Rhode Island, equipped for on-site camping. The lineup, spread across three stages, centers on cajun and zydeco music alongside blues, country, bluegrass and americana.
