Overview
About
Riddu Riđđu takes place every summer in Olmmáivággi (Manndalen), in Norway's Kåfjord municipality, celebrating Sámi culture and music alongside that of other indigenous peoples since 1991. The festival combines concerts, workshops, exhibitions, film screenings and a youth program, with artists such as Mari Boine and Buffy Sainte-Marie among the notable names to have performed there. Recognized as a festival of national importance in Norway, it has grown into one of Europe's leading gatherings devoted to indigenous cultures.
