About
Founded in 1985 by producer Marek Lieberberg as the rock counterpart to the Rock im Park festival, Rock am Ring takes place on the Nürburgring motor racing circuit in the Eifel region. It draws a rock, metal and punk audience, with a lineup ranging from stadium-scale acts to more alternative bands. Its attendance ranks it among the largest amplified music festivals in Germany.
