Staged each August on the Esplanade of Edinburgh Castle, this military show brings together pipe bands, drummers and massed military bands alongside guest formations from several countries. Founded in 1950 as part of the Edinburgh festival season, it combines military precision, dancers and a light and sound staging set against the castle backdrop. It is a ticketed event.
