Rural Festival

Rural is an electronic music festival set in the natural landscape of the Numajiri highlands in Fukushima Prefecture, on open grounds that allow camping. Launched in 2009, its lineup centers on techno, ambient, experimental, house and breaks, bringing together Japanese and international artists in an atmosphere built around slowing down rather than rushing between sets. Immersion in nature and dedicated chill-out spaces are a core part of the experience for festivalgoers.
