Sabaton Open Air

Sabaton Open Air takes place at the Lugnet ski stadium in Falun, Sweden, a metal and hard rock festival founded by the Swedish band Sabaton in their hometown. Launched in 2008 as an indoor event, it grew into an open-air gathering combining sets from international metal acts with historical reenactments and a Viking market. Its friendly community spirit among metal fans and its history-themed extras, in line with Sabaton's own songwriting, set it apart, though the festival has been on hiatus since 2022.
