Overview
About
Samuelin Poloneesi is the Finnish Folk Music League's major annual gathering, touring the country since the early 1980s after its founding in 1972. Each year, in a different host town, it brings together traditional pelimanni ensembles and more experimental young acts around a mass performance played by hundreds of musicians together. Its name comes from a polonaise in Finland's oldest folk music notation book, published in 1809.
