About
Shrewsbury Folk Festival traces back to the Bridgnorth Folk Festival, launched in 1997, before relocating in 2007 to the West Mid Showground, an agricultural site by the River Severn near Shrewsbury, England. Founded by Alan and Sandra Surtees, it centres on traditional and contemporary folk, ceilidh dances, morris dancing and a youth music programme, held on a family-oriented campsite.
