Singapore International Festival of the Arts

Founded in 1977 as the Singapore Arts Festival, this multidisciplinary event brings together theatre, dance, music and visual arts across venues in Singapore, including the Esplanade and public spaces such as Boat Quay. It became annual in 1999 and was renamed SIFA in 2012, pairing local artists with international companies around works often commissioned for the occasion.
