Sitka Jazz Festival

This jazz festival takes place every year in Sitka, Alaska, over several days combining educational clinics for students with evening concerts by professional musicians. Growing out of a local high school's jazz nights that began in 1995, it has expanded over time to feature guest artists from cities like New Orleans, Detroit and San Francisco, along with an honor big band of the state's top young players. It is regarded as Alaska's leading jazz festival.
