Sombrero Festival

This festival takes place in Brownsville, Texas, on the border with Mexico, as an extension of the Charro Days celebrations. Founded in 1986, it stages several days of Tejano, corrido and rock music performances across multiple stages, alongside races and a jalapeño-eating contest. A quintessential two-nation fiesta, it blends Mexican and Texan identities in a lively, community atmosphere.
