Son of the Soil Festival

Established in 2015 by the Baba Ba Mmala Trust, the Son of the Soil festival is held in Gaborone, Botswana, and celebrates Setswana culture through music, poetry, dance and group song and dance competitions. Attendees often wear traditional regalia, with the day built around traditional games, food and drink before giving way to traditional performers and DJs in the evening.
