About
Run by the Sree Ramaseva Mandali, founded in 1939 by S. V. Narayanaswamy Rao, the Sree Ramanavami Global Music Festival is held every year in Chamarajpet, Bengaluru, under a large pandal near the Fort Venkataramanaswamy temple. This Carnatic and Hindustani classical music festival runs for roughly a month around the Rama Navami festival and draws hundreds of thousands of listeners to concerts by leading vocalists and instrumentalists. Indian presidents, vice presidents and state governors have attended over the decades, a mark of the prestige this popular gathering holds.
