About
The Stan Rogers Folk Festival, known as Stanfest, takes place every year on the last weekend of July in Canso, Nova Scotia. Created in 1997 in tribute to Canadian singer-songwriter Stan Rogers, it bills itself as Canada's songwriter festival, spotlighting Canadian and international folk and roots artists. Originally a weekend camping gathering, it has grown into a week-long, county-wide celebration of music.
