About
Stendhal Festival has been held since 2011 at Ballymully Cottage Farm near Limavady in Northern Ireland, after starting out in 2008 as a smaller local event. Regarded as Northern Ireland's biggest independent music and arts festival, it blends live music (folk, Britpop, world and electronic sounds) with comedy, poetry, visual arts and an especially strong family programme that has earned it several awards. Its name references Stendhal syndrome, the sense of being overwhelmed by beauty.
