The Stern Grove Festival is a series of free outdoor concerts that fills a eucalyptus-wooded natural amphitheater at Sigmund Stern Grove, in San Francisco's Sunset District, every summer. Founded in 1938, it runs on Sundays with an eclectic lineup spanning classical, jazz, pop and world music. It ranks among the oldest free, nonprofit music festivals in the United States.
