Strawberry Fair

This free festival of music, entertainment, arts and crafts has been held on Midsummer Common in Cambridge on the first Saturday of June since 1974. Entirely volunteer-run, it is regarded as one of the UK's biggest free festivals and draws tens of thousands of visitors. The day opens with a colourful costume parade and samba bands, followed by around 300 stalls and a dedicated children's area.
