Sunwaves Fest

Sunwaves Festival was born in 2007 on Romania's Black Sea coast at Mamaia, where it grew into one of the country's most respected electronic music gatherings. Running five days and five nights, twice a year in spring and autumn, it stands out for its uncompromisingly underground programming centred on minimal techno and microhouse, with marathon DJ sets stretching into the early morning. Artists such as Marco Carola, Ricardo Villalobos and Rhadoo have delivered memorable performances there over the years.
