Tønder Festival

Founded in 1974 in a former mill nicknamed the Song Mill, Tønder Festival has grown into one of Northern Europe's leading events for folk and roots music. It is held every year on the last weekend of August in the town of Tønder, near the German border, combining major concerts with spontaneous jam sessions in a setting that keeps performers and audience close together.
