Tamburica fest

Tamburica Fest, the World Tamburitza Festival, takes place every year in early September at the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, Serbia. Over three days it celebrates the tamburitza, a string instrument central to Vojvodina's musical tradition, opening with a parade on Liberty Square featuring orchestras and folklore ensembles, followed by concerts and competitions for orchestras and vocal soloists from Serbia and abroad. The event positions itself as an international gathering built around this instrumental tradition.
