Tamworth Country Music Festival

The Tamworth Country Music Festival takes place every January in the city of Tamworth, New South Wales, over roughly ten days. Regarded as the second largest country music festival in the world after Nashville's CMA Fest, it brings together several hundred Australian and international artists performing at venues across the city. Attendance is large enough to temporarily double the local population, turning Tamworth into Australia's country music capital for the duration of the event.
