Overview
About
The Bayou Boogaloo is a music festival held in New Orleans, historically along the banks of Bayou St. John, running since 2006 as part of the city's post-Katrina revival. It showcases Louisiana's homegrown sounds, brass bands, zydeco, Mardi Gras Indian ensembles, jazz, funk and soul, in a waterside neighborhood setting. The event has since shifted from a sprawling riverside gathering toward a more curated, venue-based format.
