Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival

The Tolpuddle Martyrs' Festival takes place in the village of Tolpuddle, Dorset, outside the museum dedicated to the Tolpuddle Martyrs, founding figures of British trade unionism. Organised by the TUC with union support, the event combines a march of union banners and political speeches with open-air concerts spanning folk, protest pop, punk and rap. Artists such as Billy Bragg have long been associated with the festival's grassroots, campaigning spirit.
